Job Description:
Business Overview:
The Marketing & Communications team oversees the marketing and communication strategy of the client in the Americas, predominately for the Corporate & Institutional Banking franchise, in collaboration with the Group (Paris) communications teams.
The functions of this group today include: Events & Sponsorship, Media Relations, Marketing, Social Media, Content, Philanthropic Initiatives, Advertising, Client Creative Services, Internal Communications and Video Services.
In all countries where we do business, the Group manages its philanthropic initiatives around three fields of action: community, environment and culture.
We are dedicated to helping people in our communities, promoting culture and the arts, and leading the way for environmental sustainability in banking.
The Head of Philanthropy will oversee and manage a variety of philanthropic activities, including, but not limited to:
Bank-wide volunteer events: We partner with local nonprofits to create volunteering service projects that produce tangible benefits externally in our communities and internally for our employees to get involved in. Through our volunteering, we instill pride amongst employees and provide leadership opportunities, while promoting and cultivating civic change.
Help2Help program: Group level initiative that honors employees who are substantially and personally involved in charitable organizations outside of their work at that Bank.
Rescue & Recover fund: Launched in 2012, the Rescue & Recover Fund is an innovative device for collecting donations, which permits the bank to react quickly and effectively in case of a humanitarian disaster.
The Head of Philanthropy will also be an evangelist for the 1MillionHours2Help program which has been created to unite staff globally in making a tangible and sustained impact by offering ways to contribute time and efforts to local charities and non-profits. The program encompasses all philanthropic actions such as individual volunteering, pro bono initiatives and immersive skills-based experiences.
The candidate will also be responsible for communications activities promoting philanthropic initiatives, as well as more broad social impact communications, which would include communications for our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

Responsibilities
Philanthropic Strategy
Create and develop the bank's philanthropic strategy, leveraging employee feedback
Work with the Head of Enterprise-Wide and Engagement Communications and other parties to determine relevant philanthropic partners for the Bank, and manage these relationships.
Continually evolve Philanthropic Initiative program to maximize community impact and employee engagement
Volunteering
Implement and organize non-profit employee engagement volunteer programs:

Work in conjunction with other countries in the Region and beyond to ensure increasing consistency of volunteering / philanthropic efforts
Work on quarterly and annual reports of Philanthropic Activities
Operational
Prepare, track and allocate funds for client and non-client charitable requests / donations
Manage employee matching gift program via external vendor relationship
Prepare documentation and detailed reports for Leadership Committee, CSR Committee and others - and develop content and ideas
Update policy and procedures for areas of responsibility
Work on ad hoc projects as needed
Social Impact Communications
Write email, intranet and digital screen communications showcasing philanthropic activities
Partner with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) on their heritage months to help prepare and distribute their staff communications
Serve as a communications resource on all philanthropic and social impact activities

5-7+ years of Experience in two or more of the following fields: Non-profit Organization, Philanthropy Management, Events, Employee Engagement
A Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of the financial services industry and non-profit sector is a plus but not required
